Calavera Hills Master Plan
Calavera Hills is a planned community in the northeastern quadrant and hills of Carlsbad. It is located north of Palomar Airport Road and east of El Camino Real. The earliest phase of Calavera Hills, located to the west, was constructed mainly in the 1980′s, while its eastern phases have primarily been developed during the last decade.
A diverse community, Calavera Hills is divided into four neighborhoods: Barrington, Capistrano, Nantucket and Sheffield–each governed by a homeowners’ association. Homes in the Carlsbad community include single family residences, condos and apartments–and are all served by the Carlsbad Unified School District.
Shopping in the immediate Calavera Hills area is somewhat limited, however, as most land has been dedicated to residential and park usage.
