Shortly after retiring as CEO of a mortgage banking and escrow firm, Mike decided he would rather be working with Main Street rather than Wall Street and joined his wife Roberta in the real estate business, where he quickly became a hit with San Diego real estate buyers. Mike has an eagle’s eye for good deals, is fearless in expressing his opinion and counseled many clients NOT to make certain buys at the top of the market. He has never hesitated to put client’s interests before his own.
Mike moved from Minnesota just in time to enroll at San Diego’s St. Augustine High School, where he graduated. He attended the University of San Diego and graduated with a degree in Accounting from San Diego State University.As a CPA, Mike worked with several prominent real estate developers in San Diego County and eventually migrated to mortgage banking.
His real love, though, is matching buyers with homes, negotiating price and terms, finding favorable no-gotcha financing, and working to insure smooth closings. In his spare time Mike enjoys golf, friends and an occasional political argument.
